The non-lab uses for syringe filters

Not all syringe filters are used by labs! Many are used by hobbyist:

Mycology (Mushroom Cultivation): Growers use 0.22 µm PTFE syringe filters as gas-exchange ports on liquid culture jars or grain spawn lids to let air pass while blocking bacteria.

Aromatherapy and Perfumery: Makers clarify small batches of essential oil dilutions, herbal tinctures, or handmade perfumes to remove fine plant sediments.

3D Printing and Resins: Enthusiasts occasionally filter fine particulate debris or resin additives out of specialized liquid mediums, though membrane compatibility with harsh monomers is required.
